Mark Lyons Recruitment have partnered with a leading financial services provider who are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their asset finance team that work with equipment vendors. They are looking to grow their sales team with businesses that require outsourcing services for assets within a number of key markets. Your clients will be manufacturers, resellers, distributors, end user customers and third party suppliers.
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Developing and implementing sales strategies to maximise growth potential and profitability with your allocated introductory sources.
- Initiating and maintaining excellent relationships with all key stakeholders within your existing introductory sources.
- Prospecting for new partner relationships in line with the Division's objectives and ensuring all applications meet the Division's criteria.
- Presenting viable business proposals to Resellers and their customers, taking into account each individual circumstance and ensuring they meet the returns required by the Division.
- Conducting regular business reviews with your introductory sources to review all key KPI’s to include profitability and new business opportunity.
- Supporting your introductory sources and prospects with regular face-to-face visits, training or any other relevant activities as required.
- Closely monitoring and working with your internal counterparts, to proactively manage pipeline opportunities.
- Collaborating with Sales Leads, Credit, Risk, Contracts and Operational teams to implement new initiatives and products whilst ensuring optimal processes, service delivery and internal efficiencies.
- Promoting the use of the Division digital tools offering with your introductory sources to drive efficiencies through regular monitoring, training and communication.
- Providing timely feedback to senior management regarding introductory source performance and performance against your objectives.
- Providing accurate, competitive pricing whilst maintaining maximum profit margins.
- Build a deep understanding of the different market product offerings and strategies along with a tailored action plan for growth.
EXPERIENCE
- We are looking for someone with a good understanding of managing and winning new vendor programmes across the soft and hard asset space which could include new market sectors and green initiatives.
- Strong communications skills and a positive customer care approach.
- Excellent organisational & time management skills.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of Documentation, Pricing and Deal Structuring.
- Numerate and with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain the highest standards whilst under pressure.
- Previous experience of a pressurised sales environment preferred.
- Previous experience in an External Sales role in technology leasing preferred.
- Strong commercial focus – sensitive to business needs and requirements whilst being solution orientated.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to think strategically to support business objectives and execute a plan aligned with priorities and revenue growth targets.
