£40,000 – £50,000 basic plus Car and excellent Commission. James George Recruitment is working with 3 vendor driven Funders and Brokerages that arrange finance for “soft” assets such as equipment within Medical, Catering, Laundry, Garage, Beauty and Aesthetics etc. All 3 Clients are looking for additional BDMs who can build relationships with Vendors, Dealers and Suppliers in these markets. While you may inherit some Vendor relationships, it’s still important that you have the hunger and drive to hunt for new Reseller contacts too. This will be a client development and sales focused role where your success is well within your own control. You’ll have the security of a decent Basic salary, but where the commissions will compete with those available at some of the top successful Brokerages!
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop reseller, supplier and manufacturer partnerships.
- Meet potential partners to identify their requirements.
- Plan approaches and pitches by working with Management team to develop presentations and proposals that meet the partner’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Handle objections by clarifying, emphasising agreements, and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
- Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
- Achieve set targets, predominantly by bringing on new business.
- Analyse dealer performance and increase dealer turnover.
- Research and canvas for new dealers.
The ideal candidates will have at least 2+ years in a leasing sales role, ideally selling finance for the “soft assets” mentioned. Strong level of negotiating and solution selling skills. We have previously had success placing candidates who have only worked for Vendors (with an understanding of Leasing) so this background would suit too. Ability to plan and prioritise time to ensure commitments are met in agreed timescales. Ability to influence multiple stakeholders.
