Salary range up to £80,000, commission is paid monthly at 1.0% on volume, earnings are totally uncapped. Our client, a specialist well-established IT financier with a near unique proposition, is hiring for the newly created role of Channel Business Development Manager. You will report to the Head of Sales whom we have known for many years and indeed placed in their career in the past.
Responsibilities
- Your role is one of identifying, targeting, negotiating, documenting, launching and then managing new name strategic partnerships with IT vendor partners.
- These partners will be VARs or systems integrators who are selling IT hardware, laptops, desktops, tablets etc. to customers direct.
- You will be expected to deliver first year volume of £6m.
- Our client's highly competitive offering includes:
- Own book RV’s investments in all leading IT hardware platforms
- The ability to fund hardware, software, services, commissioning etc.
- The ability to syndicate debt across a plethora of funding partners enabling very high acceptance rates to be provided to partners' sales staff
- Undisclosed assignment of receivables documentation making for a simple customer experience
- Portal based proposal submission of deals from partners to ease and speed processing of deals
- Strong SLA’s to provide fast deal turnaround and payout of business.
- The ability to fund deals right down to £25,000
Candidate Profile
- To apply for this position you must have at least 5 years experience operating at C level or equivalent working with channel partners in the IT finance sector.
- Applicants should be based in the UK South and can work 3 days a week from their central London offices.
- The strongest applicants will demonstrate a depth of experience in winning new channel relationships and have evidence to support their success.
- Those with a record of inheriting IT relationships and growing finance volumes and finance penetration levels will be actively considered, providing they have the aptitude and ability to win new business.
- Experience in cold calling and networking is essential.
- Broad commercial skills and a deep understanding of leasing at this level and modern IT finance solutions (DAAS, AAS, subscription models) are required.
- Experience in pricing, credit, and deal structuring is also necessary.

This role has the potential to develop into a people leader position, where you could lead account managers as the programme grows to £10m a year. There is also scope for the successful Channel Business Development Director to be the natural potential successor to the Head of Sales.
