James George Recruitment is working closely with a prestigious Asset Finance House that is looking for an External Broker Manager to cover the London and Home Counties territory.
The main purpose of the role is to build and maintain excellent relationships with their Broker partners to deliver best in class programme delivery whilst maximising volumes and profitability. This field-based role will have contact with both internal and external customers, therefore the ability to present, negotiate and build relationships and to be able to prioritise work will be key to success.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key brokers and larger brokers via regular visits to ensure a steady flow of business and to generate required sales volume.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Brokers for large value deals of £500k+.
- Proactively follow up on leads to discuss financing requirements, negotiate pricing and close the sale.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to network with existing and potential brokers and clients, with the aim to support the relationships and to stay informed about market trends.
- Take responsibility for qualifying Large Value Deals and clients credit worthiness and prepare credit proposals, ensuring decisions are communicated in a timely manner.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with brokers and clients to secure favourable deals for the company.
Your background :
- You are likely to have 3+ years Broker Management experience
- Will help to develop their presence in the Broker market via industry boards (FLA, NACFB) and marketing initiatives (industry publications external trade shows, social media etc.)
- Understanding of the requirements to meet all FCA and compliance standards important to the role.
- Understanding of risk, legal and asset knowledge of broker finance together with the ability to market the company’s products and services.
