Our Client is a well-established global manufacturing business and world leader in their field, renowned for delivering high-performance technical solutions to the automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors. This role represents an excellent career opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain professional. The successful candidate will act as a pivotal link in the global supply chain, ensuring seamless operations through strategic procurement, meticulous inventory optimization, and robust vendor management. Beyond standard replenishment, this position carries responsibility for navigating international logistics and customs processes, maintaining the integrity of critical material data, and driving continuous improvement projects that directly impact the site’s efficiency and customer satisfaction.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the end-to-end purchase order lifecycle, sourcing high-quality goods and services from both 3rd party vendors and intercompany partners.
  • Coordinate incoming freight and oversee the complex customs process to ensure timely delivery and regulatory compliance for all imports.
  • Manage stock levels for both Make-to-Order (MTO) and Make-to-Stock (MTS) articles, dynamically updating replenishment schedules to align with business demand.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with global suppliers, serving as the primary point of contact for quality, delivery, and compliance matters.
  • Take ownership of the Material Master Data within the ERP system, ensuring all procurement and inventory information is accurate and updated.
  • Partner with Warehouse, Customer Service, Finance, and Sales teams to ensure seamless item setups, pricing accuracy, and optimized warehouse space utilization.
  • Support the quality function by managing REACH compliance, quality certifications, and standardizing procurement documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • A strong track record in a similar Procurement, Supply Chain, or Inventory Planning role, preferably within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Preferable demonstrable experience using SAP (knowledge of ADDone is highly advantageous) and a high level of competency with Microsoft Excel.
  • A solid understanding of Incoterms, freight coordination, and international customs documentation requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to resolve complex pricing or procurement discrepancies and manage large datasets.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse internal teams and international external partners.
  • A self-starter with a "continuous improvement" mindset, capable of identifying inefficiencies and implementing supply chain enhancements.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and environmental compliance (e.g., REACH) is preferred.

Details of Package:

Up to £30,000 Mon – Fri (37 hours per week) Mon-Thurs 08.00 to 4.30 Fri 08.00 to 1.00 29 days holiday (plus statutory days in addition) / Private Healthcare / Competitive Pension (company contributes 1.5 x amount up to max 6% - i.e. employee 6%, company 9%) / Life Assurance x 3 times salary
