The Opportunity: As our Mid-Market Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for winning new business across the UK Mid-Market, partnering with HR and Talent leaders to help them transform how they hire and develop talent. This is a full-cycle sales role where you’ll generate opportunities, run consultative sales processes and close new customers. You’ll have the freedom to build your territory while working alongside our SDR and Marketing teams to create a healthy pipeline.
If you’re someone who enjoys building relationships, solving customer problems and closing business in a fast-paced SaaS environment, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Win New Business: Build and manage your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals and inbound opportunities. Qualify and progress new business opportunities across the UK Mid-Market. Manage the full sales cycle from discovery through to negotiation and close. Consistently achieve and exceed new business targets.
- Sell Consultatively: Understand each customer’s hiring challenges and business objectives. Deliver engaging product demonstrations tailored to customer needs. Build business cases that demonstrate measurable commercial value. Work with HR, Talent Acquisition, People Leaders and senior stakeholders to drive consensus.
- Build Your Territory: Develop and execute territory plans. Create opportunities through networking, LinkedIn and strategic outbound activity. Collaborate closely with SDRs, Marketing and Customer Success to maximise commercial opportunities. Maintain an active pipeline with disciplined opportunity management.
- Drive Sales Excellence: Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene. Manage opportunities through every stage of the sales process. Apply structured sales methodologies and best practice. Share market insight and customer feedback to help shape our commercial strategy.
Why Join AssessFirst? You’ll be joining at one of the most exciting stages of our international growth. You’ll benefit from:
- Significant opportunity across the UK Mid-Market.
- Freedom to sell across multiple industries.
- A mature AI platform trusted by over 3,500 organisations globally.
- Recognisable customers including AXA, Randstad, Greene King, Vision Express, Atos, Sellafield and The King’s Trust.
- A collaborative, ambitious commercial team.
- Genuine opportunities for career progression as we continue to grow internationally.
What We’re Looking For:
- B2B SaaS Sales Experience: A proven track record of winning new business within B2B SaaS. Ideally, you’ll have 2-5 years’ experience in a closing role, managing full sales cycles and consistently achieving quota.
- Consultative Selling Skills: You’re naturally curious and customer-focused. You enjoy uncovering business challenges, building value-led conversations and guiding prospects through a consultative buying journey. Experience with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Challenger, SPICED or similar would be beneficial.
- Commercial Drive: You’re motivated by building pipeline, creating opportunities and winning new business. You take ownership of your territory and enjoy working in a high-performance sales environment where effort and results are recognised.
- Relationship Builder: You build trust quickly with HR, Talent and business leaders. You’re confident presenting to decision-makers and managing multiple stakeholders throughout the buying process.
- Organised & Data-Driven: You’re disciplined in managing your pipeline, maintaining CRM accuracy and forecasting effectively. You understand that consistent sales success comes from great habits as much as great conversations.
Location & Language: Based in the UK. Full right to work. Fluent English.
What You’ll Receive: £55,000 base salary/£90,000 OTE. Remote-first working with genuine autonomy. International career opportunities. Collaborative, high-performance culture. Opportunity to play a key role in AssessFirst’s global growth. 7% employer pension contribution. 25 days annual leave.
