As a Paid Search Business Director, you will be directing your team to deliver best-in-class performance for your assembly of clients. You will be a specialist in AI-powered search practices and operations. With your extensive platform knowledge, you'll navigate your team through the latest best practices, standardisation, and our product proposition enforcement. You provide strategic insight, instruct and develop your team of specialists, and are responsible for the quality of work we deliver.
This is a senior role within the search department, meaning you will be an escalation point of contact for clients and media/tech partners, as well as for our wider department. You will report to the Search Partner who you will be working with on delivering on our department projects for futureproof search. You will live and breathe innovation, fostering a culture of continuous and responsible experimentation for your team.
You will be the guiding force for a team of Account Directors, Managers and (Senior) Executives, nurturing their careers within the agency.
Team Leadership and ProcessesYour team will be responsible for impeccable activation. You will enforce the highest standards, as per the Assembly formula for paid search success. You will be a source of constructive feedback for your team's development. You'll implement inclusive and agile ways of working which ensure that team members are connected even if they're working in different locations. You will ensure that all agency processes are adhered to, from finance workflows to timesheet completion. Your team will produce zero errors. You monitor the ways of working, levels of daily diagnostics and non-negotiables to be checked each day to ensure zero errors. You will govern the systems in place to identify issues and provide solutions to improve before they become a problem.
Train your team to find the insight that can help us fuel growth for clients and continually challenge the status quo. You are an active senior leader of the search community - for your direct team, but also others in the department. You will be leading team meetings, and selected events and department projects. You will support with department resource planning and recruitment. Collaborate with other departments/specialisms in the agency to deliver on projects for clients.

- A leader for paid search knowledge and own thought leadership.
- Proven experience of leading high performing teams with multiple team members across job levels.
- Skilled in effective workflow management, you and your team work to the highest standard and deliver on time. You demonstrate a clear ability to manage multiple tasks and differing priorities.
- Successful communicator. You have an engaging way of communicating with clients and internal stakeholders alike, clearly and concisely talking about performance and strategy. You adjust to your audience and can make the complex simple.
- You offer solutions to challenges and are proactive in preventing issues before they arise.
- You have experience of working on successful new business pitches (full process).
- Expert knowledge of bid management platforms and other technologies (Google Marketing Platform suite, Adthena, Lunio etc.).
