We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to support our London-based Projects team. The consultant will focus on delivering process engineering services across conceptual, FEED, and detailed design phases, with a particular emphasis on late-life asset development and optimisation.
Description
The consultant will independently deliver on the following services:
Scope 1: Field Development
- Generate and evaluate development concepts based on updated production and geoscience data.
- Support cost estimation and facilitate concept selection processes.
- Lead process design activities from concept through to start-up.
- Produce and review process engineering deliverables to support project progression.
- Provide technical input to vendor and contractor packages and review their deliverables.
- Collaborate with Operations and other disciplines to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
- Contribute to project scheduling, cost estimation, and reporting.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensure final process documentation is identified and handed over at project close-out.
Scope 2: Optimisation Projects
- Review existing facility designs and operations for late-life assets.
- Identify and propose pragmatic solutions to improve crude export performance.
- Document and progress improvement opportunities through process deliverables.
- Support selected solutions from concept to start-up, including technical input and deliverable production.
- Interface with Operations and other disciplines to ensure project clarity and momentum.
The ideal consultant will demonstrate:
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in onshore/offshore oil & gas process engineering.
- Proven experience in field development planning and late-life asset optimisation.
- Strong technical knowledge of oil and gas processing equipment and systems.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of project scopes.
- A track record of delivering innovative, safe, and practical engineering solutions.
- Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Unisim, Flare System Analyser, and Flaresim.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with international engineering standards and best practices.
