As our Estimator you will maintain the optimum estimating procedures, checking that quotations are accurately compiled and submitted in a timely manner to all tendering contractors. A key part of the role will be to work closely with the Business Development Managers to supply the desired support in maximizing potential leads and achieving the required quotation. You would also:

  • Review and assess tender enquiries and produce compliant quotations within the group CRM system.
  • Ascertain requirements by analyzing Architects plans, elevations, schedules, NBS specifications, etc.
  • Use technical knowledge to tailor our product offer, which best suits the clients' requirements.
  • Ensure quotation pricing levels are in accordance with the approved discount structure to maximize the appropriate level of contribution.
  • Convert customer orders within the system, ensuring all relevant data is included within the CRM file to assist the smooth transition to the Operations department.
  • Use construction databases to obtain project details and identify other tendering bidders.

The skills and experience you need:

  • Has experience of working within a sales team in a customer focused environment.
  • Has a strong estimating background and is able to read and understand Architect's construction drawings, schedules and specifications.
  • Can develop & maintain mutually beneficial relationships with customers.
  • Has technical knowledge and understanding of IDS equipment.
  • Works closely with peers and is a significant contributor to the overall performance of the team.
