As our Continuous Improvement Co-ordinator you will be instrumental in reducing operating costs and improving contribution margins through the deployment of lean methodologies. Your focus will be on enhancing flow in assembly and core processes driving automation and applying Lean principles such as Flow process analysis, TAKT, SMED, VSM, 5S, 8 wastes and Value Analysis to deliver measurable improvements.
This exciting opportunity will allow you to lead manufacturing improvement projects whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement through workshops and training. This role reports directly to the UKI Operational Excellence Manager and offers a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact within a global leader in opening solutions.
You would also:
- Lead and coordinate Continuous improvement activities and the management of ideas.
- Educate team members across the site in Lean techniques through training, practical simulations and improvement workshops.
- Support the preparations for the EMEIA Operational excellence assessment at the Willenhall site and support operations with the introduction and refinement of daily management practices.
- Analyse complex data to support with identifying planning and delivering improvement activities.
- Support site Manufacturing Footprint Projects (MFP) and generate improvement summary documents to quantify benefits.
The skills and experience you need:
- Has leadership skills and is eager to take ownership and drive success.
- Is experienced in dealing with operational matters in a fast moving dynamic environment.
- Has a Lean Sigma Green belt or equivalent qualification.
- Has completed an Engineering Apprenticeship with an ONC / HNC in Manufacturing / Mechanical or Engineering.
- Has experience in Project management and running improvement workshops that have resulted in quantifiable improvements to Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery.
