PTI provides the most innovative, durable, and reliable security products available today, offering a wide range of integrated security solutions.
What you will do:
- Working Hours: 08.00 β 17.00 with 1 hour for lunch. 40-hour week. Overtime expected.
- Location: London, United Kingdom
- Prepare for Jobs: Read site plans, drawings, and project minutes to get ready for tasks.
- Install CCTV, access control, door entry systems to specified standards.
- Problem Solving: Use a logical approach to find and fix system faults.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and regulations.
- Health and Safety: Follow all safety requirements to ensure a safe work environment.
- Customer Communication: Communicate with customers to gather relevant information and keep them updated on job progress.
- Testing and Training: Test systems upon completion and train customers on how to use them, providing manuals when available.
- 24/7 Support: Be part of a call-out roster to provide engineering support 24/7 to specified sites.
- Meetings: Attend meetings with external site teams and within the company as required.
- Paperwork: Complete all necessary paperwork, including time sheets and expenses, to specified standards and submit them on time.
- Team Support: Keep the office team informed of job progress and provide technical support when needed.
- Continuous Learning: Keep technical knowledge up to date through ongoing learning and development.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Take care of the company vehicle according to specified standards.
- Flexibility: Be willing to perform any other duties as assigned on an as-needed basis.
What we expect of you:
- Minimum 3 years' experience with CCTV or Access Control systems.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
- Knowledge of integrating CCTV, access control, and door entry systems into a cohesive security solution.
- Understanding of electrical principles and regulations to safely install power supplies, transformers, and backup batteries.
- Proficiency in configuring system settings, user permissions, access levels, and other parameters.
- Diagnostic abilities to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good communications and excellent customer interactions.
Work Environment:
- Exposed to risk of electrical shock.
- Exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places.
- Exposed to outside weather conditions, wet, extreme cold and heat.
- The surrounding noise level may be high.
- On occasion, the employee will work within an office environment.
- May be required to work away from home in the UK or overseas.

Physical Demands:
- Use of hands for intricate tasks and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Close vision required.
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling.
- Work at heights using ladders and cherry picker vehicles, and in confined spaces.
- Potential for long-distance driving.
- Participation in on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, or bank holidays.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
