What you will do…- Prepare for Jobs: Read site plans, drawings, and project minutes to get ready for tasks.
- Install CCTV, access control, door entry systems to specified standards.
- Problem Solving: Use a logical approach to find and fix system faults.
- Troubleshooting faults.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards and regulations.
- Health and Safety: Follow all safety requirements to ensure a safe work environment.
- Customer Communication: Communicate with customers to gather relevant information and keep them updated on job progress.
- Testing and Training: Test systems upon completion and train customers on how to use them, providing manuals when available.
- 24/7 Support: Be part of a call-out roster to provide engineering support 24/7 to specified sites.
- Meetings: Attend meetings with external site teams and within the company as required.
- Paperwork: Complete all necessary paperwork, including time sheets and expenses, to specified standards and submit them on time.
- Team Support: Keep the office team informed of job progress and provide technical support when needed. Support colleagues by offering assistance and training.
- Continuous Learning: Keep technical knowledge up to date through ongoing learning and development.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Take care of the company vehicle according to specified standards.
- Flexibility: Be willing to perform any other duties as assigned on an as-needed basis.
- Minimum 3 years' experience with CCTV or Access Control systems.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
- Knowledge of integrating CCTV, access control, and door entry systems into a cohesive security solution, including connecting devices to network infrastructure and configuring system settings for interoperability.
- Understanding of electrical principles and regulations to safely install power supplies, transformers, and backup batteries for CCTV, access control, and door entry systems, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with electrical standards.
- Proficiency in configuring system settings, user permissions, access levels, and other parameters using software applications or device interfaces to meet client requirements and operational needs.
- Diagnostic abilities to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Good communications and excellent customer interactions.
- Exposed to risk of electrical shock.
- Exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places.
- Exposed to outside weather conditions, wet, extreme cold and heat.
