As our Operations Manager, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end manufacturing and operational functions within PC Henderson. This includes managing the production process, goods in and out for distribution, planning and purchasing, and SHEQ compliance, as well as leading the process improvement function to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this role will play a key part in driving operational performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring best-in-class manufacturing and supply chain practices.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and driven individual to lead operational excellence, drive efficiency, and continuously improve our processes in line with business growth objectives. You would also:

  • Lead and motivate teams across manufacturing, distribution, and planning to achieve high performance and efficiency.
  • Oversee production processes and ensure cost-effectiveness, aligning operations with company objectives.
  • Manage goods in/out operations to ensure effective supply chain and logistics management.
  • Drive process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, and automation to enhance efficiency, quality, and reduce costs.
  • Foster a positive, high-performing culture by coaching, mentoring, and developing employees to meet quality, safety, and environmental KPIs.

The skills and experience you need:

  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong background in manufacturing, operations, supply chain management, and process improvement, including Lean and Six Sigma.
  • A strategic thinker with a proven ability to identify, implement improvements, and manage change to drive operational transformation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, engaging stakeholders at all levels and fostering collaboration.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and operational awareness, with expertise in inventory control, WMS, ERP systems, and health & safety standards.
