Key Responsibilities
- Support the Finance Manager with month end financial reporting, accruals and prepayment processing and analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in line with group requirements.
- Monitor and identify quality costs incurred by the business to support cost control and decision making.
- Support the processing of invoices and expense claims accurately and effectively.
- Ensure that all P&L transactions are properly recorded and coded in the finance systems.
- Carry out appropriate checks and reconciliations to ensure that financial records and ledgers are complete and accurately maintained at all times.
- Raise recharge invoices for various entities in the group and ensure the correct reports are sent to each entity.
- Support the Finance Manager and General Manager with the annual budget setting process.
- Assist with the preparation of annual audits and support the Finance Manager throughout the audit process.
- Quarterly VAT return.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve queries.
- Assist with ad-hoc reports as requested.
About You
- Full AAT qualification with good all-round experience in a finance function.
- Previous experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role.
- Strong numeracy skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to organise your own workload and prioritise.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage).
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
