What you would do as our Area Sales Manager:

  • Reporting to the UK Sales Manager, you will be at the heart of driving sales growth within the portfolio of our Key Account customers, while also expanding our footprint across new customer segments.
  • You’ll take ownership of a strategic sales process that enables our Key Account customers to procure their enterprise solutions and benefit from the wider range of additional products we offer.
  • This role will operate on a 60/40 split, with 60% focused on account management and 40% dedicated to new business development within your designated region.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieving and exceeding monthly and annual sales targets by proactively winning new business within the construction industry, expanding regional market reach, and positioning enterprise and non‑enterprise solutions with contractors, subcontractors, and emerging sectors.
  • Building, qualifying, and managing a robust sales pipeline using multiple lead‑generation channels (including prospecting, networking, referrals, and Glenigan), while maintaining accurate CRM data, sales forecasting, and pipeline visibility.
  • Developing and executing strategic regional sales plans to drive revenue growth, improve product penetration, and maximise conversion rates, order values, and overall sales performance.
  • Building and maintaining strong long‑term relationships with prospective and existing customers at site level, collaborating closely with the Key Account Management team to support and expand key accounts throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Tracking and reporting on sales performance metrics, working cross‑functionally to ensure effective local support, and contributing to high customer satisfaction and loyalty, supporting a strong Net Promoter Score (NPS).

Qualifications:

  • Has a proven track record of experience in B2B sales within the construction or a related sector, consistently achieving and driving sales growth against targets.
  • Has strong capability to develop and execute effective sales strategies in competitive markets, with a clear focus on performance and results.
  • Has excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to close deals and build long‑term customer relationships.
  • Is highly organised and data‑driven, with solid experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting, and CRM tools.
  • Is comfortable with technical or solution‑based selling and regional travel; full, valid driver’s licence required.
