We are looking for a Component Engineer to joing our team in Cardiff!

Working in a small, versatile team, the candidate\’s work will involve product design and sustaining activities on a range of RFID access products which are sold worldwide.

The candidate needs to be able to effectively manage their time to support work on a variety of products at different stages of the product\’s lifecycle, and to be able to collaborate well with colleagues from different departments both on-site and overseas.

As our Component Engineer, you’ll support HID’s success by:

  • Ability to understand component data sheets.
  • Ability to determine alternative components when current components are EOL.
  • VAVE Experience in Schematic and PCB reviews.
  • Circuit simulation and testing.
  • Electronic assembly with SMD components.
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
