ASR International are working with a well-established manufacturer of interior products who are looking to appoint a commercially driven Sales Manager to develop and grow their specification and project-led sales activity across the Midlands. This role will focus specifically on developing the housebuilder channel, working closely with national and regional housebuilders, regional developers, merchant partners, contractors, consultants and key project stakeholders to secure product specification and drive sales growth across the region.

The Role
You will be responsible for developing specifications, building strong relationships and converting project opportunities across the Midlands region. The focus will be on growing sales through housebuilders, regional developers, contractors, merchant partners and other key decision-makers involved in the residential construction and interiors project chain. You will be expected to identify new opportunities, develop existing relationships, track projects from early design stage through to completion, and work closely with merchant and distribution partners to ensure specifications are converted into orders. This is a strategic, relationship-led sales role suited to someone who understands how to influence projects, manage multiple stakeholders and add value throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with national housebuilders, regional developers, contractors, consultants and merchant partners across the Midlands region.
- Drive product specification across new build residential, multi-unit development and wider interiors projects.
- Identify, track and manage project opportunities from early planning stage through to procurement and installation.
- Work closely with merchant and distribution partners to support product availability, specification conversion and order fulfilment.
- Deliver product presentations, training and technical support to customers, contractors and project stakeholders.
- Develop new accounts while maximising opportunities within existing customers and project partners.
- Maintain a strong project pipeline and report activity, progress and opportunities through CRM systems.
The Candidate
We are looking for a commercially focused sales professional with experience in specification, project-led sales, housebuilder sales or construction product sales. You will ideally have experience selling into some of the following channels: Housebuilders, Contractors, Main contractors.
