We are working exclusively with a successful and growing manufacturer/wholesaler of quality interior products to appoint a National Sales Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing business that is taking market share, investing in growth and building momentum across multiple channels.
Reporting directly to a hands-on and highly engaged CEO, you will lead the UK Trade Sales team, managing and developing a team of Area Sales Managers alongside a National Key Account Manager. The focus of the role is to grow and strengthen relationships with major national merchants and buying groups including Travis Perkins, Jewson, MKM, Huws Gray, Fortis, NBG and IBMG.
This is a visible, hands-on leadership role where you will combine people management, commercial strategy and direct customer engagement. You’ll coach and develop the team, drive performance, implement clear sales plans and play a key role in growing national accounts and category performance.
We are looking for someone who understands the merchant sector, knows how to sell value over price and can bring energy, structure and leadership to an ambitious team.

- Proven experience managing sales teams within building materials, interiors or merchant channels
- Strong understanding of national merchants, independents and routes to market
- Commercially astute with experience growing sales, margin and market share
- Hands-on leader who can coach, motivate and develop people
- Strong with data, forecasting and CRM systems (Salesforce ideal)
- Credible presenter, relationship builder and strategic thinker
- Able to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels
