Basic salary up to Β£70,000 + bonus + company car / benefits
ASR International is partnering with a highly successful and growing business to recruit a Contract / Specification Sales Manager across the South East.
This is a key appointment focused specifically on driving specification sales through regional housebuilders and developers , building long-term relationships and creating sustainable growth across an important region.
The ideal location would be around the M25 and surrounding Home Counties , including areas such as Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Essex and Cambridgeshire. We would equally consider strong candidates based south of the Thames across Surrey, Kent and the surrounding areas.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing specification-led sales across the regional housebuilder and developer market, with a particular focus on developments typically ranging from 50 to 500 plots .
This is a relationship-led, commercially focused role where you will manage several key accounts and proactively identify new developers, projects, and specification opportunities.
You will work closely with customers at the commercial, technical, and operational levels , stay ahead of upcoming developments, and position the business early in the project cycle to influence specifications and secure long-term business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing relationships with regional housebuilders and developers across the South East
- Targeting residential developments typically ranging from 50β500 plots
- Managing and growing a portfolio of existing key accounts
- Identifying new developments, projects and specification opportunities
- Building relationships with commercial, procurement, technical and operational teams
- Influencing specifications and converting opportunities into secured business
- Developing a strong regional pipeline and increasing market share
- Working collaboratively with internal commercial, contracts and customer service teams
- Understanding competitor activity and identifying opportunities for further growth
- Delivering excellent account management throughout the customer and project lifecycle
The Person
We are looking for someone who combines strong commercial ability with an engaging, relationship-led approach .
You may already be working within KBB, bathrooms, kitchens, flooring, furniture, appliances, interiors, building materials or construction products , ideally with experience selling into housebuilders, developers or the wider specification market.
Just as importantly, we are looking for the right personality.
You will be adaptable, proactive and comfortable thinking on your feet , with the ability to build credibility and strong relationships with different stakeholders. You will be passionate about what you do, commercially driven and have the hunger to grow your region rather than simply manage existing accounts.
Previous relationships with regional housebuilders and developers would be highly advantageous.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join a successful business that is continuing to grow and invest, with significant potential to further develop its position within the regional housebuilder market.
For someone ambitious, there is the opportunity to make the region their own, develop key customer relationships, win new specifications and genuinely add value to the wider business.
Basic salary up to Β£70,000 + bonus + company car/benefits , depending on experience.
All applications and conversations will be treated in the strictest confidence .
