We’re partnered with a thriving, design-led OEM furniture manufacturer that supplies into the retail and B2B market. They’ve been on an impressive growth trajectory and are continuing to expand both their team and their client base. As part of this growth, they’re now looking to hire a Key Account Manager to take ownership of a small number of their most important accounts. This is a newly created role — a fantastic opportunity to step into a business that’s investing in its people and its infrastructure.
You’ll play a key part in ensuring continued success and customer satisfaction across a set of high-value clients who are already spending significantly circa £15m. Whether you’re currently in a Key Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manager, or Account Exec position, if you have a proven background in managing and growing B2B customer relationships, particularly in furniture, interiors, or KBB — this could be a great move.
The Role – What You’ll Be Doing:
- Take full ownership of 5–6 high-value customer accounts, managing day-to-day communication, ensuring strong relationships are maintained, and proactively identifying ways to add value.
- Serve as the main point of contact for your accounts, working closely with buyers, category managers, and internal stakeholders to support ongoing projects and repeat business.
- Build account development plans to unlock further growth — whether that’s through upselling new product ranges, introducing bespoke options, or improving service delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams across design, production, planning, and logistics to ensure that customer requirements are met in full and on time.
- Monitor key performance metrics such as sales volume, lead times, delivery accuracy, and service levels, and act quickly to resolve any challenges.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, trade shows, and industry events as required to maintain close contact and stay ahead of market trends.
- Work closely with the wider sales team to forecast customer demand, support planning cycles, and maintain visibility on pipeline and potential growth opportunities.
About You – What We’re Looking For:
- Account management experience within a manufacturing, design, or product-based environment — ideally in furniture, KBB, interiors, or similar.
- You could be an ASM or BDM, Account Exec looking to move into a more focused, relationship-led role, or a KAM ready for a fresh challenge.
- Comfortable managing national or key accounts, and experienced in handling repeat order cycles, project-based briefs, and long-term commercial partnerships.
- A confident communicator and relationship-builder, able to work with internal teams and client stakeholders across functions.
- Commercially sharp — someone who understands how to grow revenue within existing accounts and spot gaps or opportunities others might miss.
- Highly organised and proactive, with strong follow-up skills and attention to detail when it comes to order status, service levels, and timelines.
- Competent with CRM systems, Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), and reporting tools to track account performance and inform your decisions.
Location: Ideally located in the North or North West
What’s On Offer:
- The chance to join a fast-growing, respected OEM manufacturer with a strong reputation and exciting future plans.
- A newly created role where you’ll have the autonomy to shape how key accounts are managed.
- A team environment where your input will directly influence success.
- Competitive salary, bonus potential, and company benefits package.
- Long-term career development opportunities as the business continues to scale.
