ASR Group is the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, with an annual production capacity of more than 6 million tons of sugar. The company produces a full line of grocery, industrial, food service and specialty sweetener products. Across North America, ASR Group owns and operates six sugar refineries, located in Louisiana, New York, California, Maryland, Canada and Mexico. In the European Union, the company owns and operates sugar refineries in England and Portugal. ASR Group also owns and operates mills in Mexico and Belize. The company’s brand portfolio includes the leading brands Domino, C&H, Redpath, Tate & Lyle, Lyle’s and Sidul.

In this role, you will lead the UK brand & e-commerce team for ASR Group Europe (ASRGE). The team consists of a Marketing Assistant, two Brand Managers, and a Digital Marketing Manager, along with personnel delivering e-commerce fulfillment. The team manages the Lyle’s brand (No.1 Golden Syrup), Tate & Lyle (No. 2 in Sugars), and Whitworths (No. 4 in Sugars), as well as overseeing specific e-commerce activities. Your responsibilities include producing annual brand plans, executing targeted activations aligned with brand goals, achieving e-commerce targets, and maintaining owned media channels.

This is an exciting period for the business as we pursue new product development (NPD) projects, with this position playing a key role. There is a strong team and a larger marketing function to support success.

Location: WC2E 9HE (Hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days from home)

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Own and implement annual brand plans to meet marketing goals, aligning with innovation, sales, and other teams, ensuring plans support business objectives.
  2. Oversee agencies and internal resources to deliver marketing activations, including creative development, media planning, and related activities.
  3. Lead team managing owned media channels (web and social media) to ensure optimal performance.
  4. Guide team in developing successful e-commerce storefronts, customer acquisition, fulfillment, and ongoing performance management.
  5. Build strong cross-functional relationships with external agencies, marketing colleagues, sales, and other functions to align on key projects and represent the marketing agenda.
  6. Manage budgets effectively to maximize ROI, setting and controlling annual marketing spend.
  7. Maintain product portfolios for profitability, supporting periodic reviews with analysts and sales teams.
  8. Develop and coach team members, clarifying responsibilities and fostering growth.
