This role involves inspiring, influencing, and elevating safety performance across our flagship Thames Refinery. You will drive continuous improvement, shape a culture of safety and lead key initiatives that impact all levels of the organisation.

What you’ll lead
- A site-wide safety vision aligned with global ambitions.
- A robust auditing system to ensure risks are controlled and improvement areas identified.
- Behavioural safety programmes that genuinely shift mindsets.
- High-quality investigations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Fire protection, contractor management, and compliance across a complex industrial and port-based environment.
- Engagement across departments, functions, and global EHS networks.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Support Plaistow site during absences or incidents.
- Build strong partnerships across operations, commercial teams, and global EHS networks.
- Provide regular safety performance reports to regional and corporate EHS leaders.
- Ensure group standards are embedded locally.
- Collaborate with the Environment Manager—covering each other when needed.
