SHIFT Continuous Shift pattern (Holidays rostered in).
POSITION SCOPE To safely operate plant within the Refining Area ensuring qualitative and quantitative production targets are met in a compliant manner.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To operate the plant ensuring the required S.H.H.E.Q. standards and volumetric targets are achieved, following the relevant TBRA’s.
- Reviewing and approving TBRA’s with a 2 yearly review / sign off of all TBRA’s relevant to the role.
- Ensuring compliance is maintained towards all aspects of S.H.H.E.Q., where feasibly practicable.
- Liaising with others such as the Console Operator where corrective action or further assistance is required.
- To be aware of, and operate processing plant to the required safety, environmental, quality, hygiene and output standards liaising with the Console operator, Senior Process Technician, Shift Manager and in conjunction with the Area Technical Manager when on day work.
- To utilise the plant computer systems to ensure smooth and efficient performance and to interrogate the systems for deviation of process parameters taking appropriate corrective action as required.
- To work within a team to provide a flexible and committed workforce.
- To utilise knowledge and experience to solve problems as they occur, using judgement to call for more expert assistance as required.
- To undertake QC analysis as appropriate and compare results against the specified process parameters.
- To adjust plant and processing conditions when appropriate to ensure specification conformity is maintained.
- To maintain clear and concise communications (verbal, written and electronic), in the form of shift logs together with safety, environment, quality and hygiene records.
- Must be able to read written process instruction.
- Perform basic arithmetic calculations.
- Good numeric and literacy skills - educated to at least 4 GCSE’s or equivalent.
- Ability to monitor and operate equipment using a computer based control system.
- Some understanding of current safety legislation applicable to the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of safety, environment, hygiene and quality procedures applicable to area of work.
- Good team worker and communicator with a flexible approach to work.
