We are looking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher of Sociology to start ASAP. This role offers the opportunity to work with motivated students, delivering high-quality teaching that inspires ambition, builds confidence, and enables outstanding achievement.
Responsibilities
- Establish a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment, setting high expectations for learning, behaviour and attendance.
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons, develop engaging resources, and promote high standards of literacy and numeracy.
- Use formative and summative assessment to monitor progress and respond to feedback, ensuring students make excellent progress.
- Act as a tutor to a group of students, providing academic guidance, pastoral support and mentoring throughout their time in sixth form.
- Monitor progress and attendance, liaise with parents and colleagues, deliver personal development sessions, and prepare high-quality references to support progression to higher education.
