We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher to join an inspiring SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school located in South-West London, starting this September.
About the School: This well-resourced school features a purpose-built classroom hub, an adventure playground, and offers students weekly music sessions alongside access to a wide-ranging therapy service. Primary, Secondary and Post-16 learners follow a diverse curriculum, which includes vocational subjects such as motor vehicle studies, horticulture, hospitality, and construction. The school is committed to supporting pupils with SEMH needs who require a more personalised and therapeutic approach than mainstream schools typically provide. Each student follows an individualised, themed curriculum that is closely tied to their education, health, and care plans.
The Role: A qualified Primary specialist from a mainstream background with a passion for inclusive education, or a teacher experienced in special education who is confident teaching Primary education. Class sizes are small (up to 8 pupils), and every class is supported by a dedicated Learning Support Professional.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with students with SENA background in secondary or further education
- QTS, NQT status, or QTLS
- A genuine enthusiasm for supporting young people with additional needs
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- The ability to engage students and promote effective teaching and learning
Newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply, and the school offers a supportive environment for professional growth. Interviews will be held ASAP.
