Our Children's Home Wrexham are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and caring Senior Support Worker to join our team! We support children and young people up to the age of 18, with a wide range of needs, such as support with emotional wellbeing and challenging behaviours. Our 3 bedded home is located just on the outskirts of Wrexham, offering plenty of beautiful countryside and outdoor space for our young people. Building trusting relationships is at the heart of what we do, so we celebrate small wins as much as we do with the bigger ones. Our priority is making sure every young person feels seen, heard and valued, helping them build confidence, resilience and a sense of belonging.
Due to the nature of this role, you will need a full UK driving license and your Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People.
At Aspris, we want every young person to feel understood, supported, and ready to take on the world. That’s why our homes are shaped around the needs of each child - this ensures that all of our young people get the support that’s shaped around their strengths, challenges, and goals.
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing home where children and young people can thrive. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will lead shifts, support and mentor colleagues, and help ensure the highest standards of care are delivered at all times.
You will support our young people to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes, whether that's learning essential life skills, engaging in hobbies and activities, maintaining education attendance, or enjoying new experiences within their local community. No two days are the same, from supporting with daily routines and fun activities, to managing challenging situations and celebrating achievements.
At Aspris, learning never stops - and that’s something we truly value. As a growing organisation, we rely on accurate, detailed data, which can include sensitive information such as incident reports and disclosures from young people. High attention to detail is essential to the role.
To support you, we offer continuous CPD and development opportunities, helping you grow and become the best version of yourself.
What does this mean?
- Automatic enrollment onto NVQ/SVQ qualifications within 6-months of starting a Residential Support role
- The opportunity to be qualified to degree level
- A clear pathway for you to progress in your role
