Quay View School are recruiting for an Administrator to join our busy and professional administration team. This role will be 5 days per week to be completed during term-time (39 weeks per year). We are looking for an enthusiastic multitasker, who is highly skilled and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel & Word. The successful candidate will be a solution-focused member of the team and be able to prioritise competing deadlines in a professional manner.

Quay View School (located in Bere Alston) specialises in providing education for children and young people aged 7-19 with autism (ASD) and social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) related conditions, including trauma and attachment. The safeguarding and wellbeing of our students is paramount; along with encouragement to achieve their full potential.
This is a varied role and would suit someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, is solution-focused, able to prioritise competing deadlines in a professional manner and understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality. This role requires a good working knowledge of finance reporting, with the ability to accurately track, code and report school expenditure. You will support cost control processes to ensure financial records are maintained clearly and accurately. You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the school office, providing a welcoming first point of contact for staff, students, parents and visitors.
Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the school reception, including welcoming visitors, answering the telephone and dealing with enquiries in a helpful manner.
- Recording student attendance accurately and completing welfare calls to parents/carers where required.
- Supporting finance processes, including inputting invoices, tracking and coding purchases and maintaining cost control spreadsheets.
- Raising BACS requests and following the correct approval procedures.
- Raising orders and goods receipting.
- Providing general administrative support to the wider school community.
Skills:
- Confident in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- An understanding of finance reporting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Professional, approachable and reliable.
