Strathmore College is a specialist education and training (SEN) college for students aged 19 to 25. Each learner follows a fully individualised programme designed to support them into employment and increased independence, with strong links to employers and community-based learning.
The Counselling Psychologist will provide a psychology service to support students with complex needs, delivering tailored therapy and interventions to promote mental, emotional, physical and social wellbeing.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing a psychology service to support students with complex needs.
- Identifying and delivering appropriate tailored therapy and interventions.
- Liaising with families and carers to support student progress and achievement.
- Carrying out home visits and building positive relationships with families.
- Welcoming new starters through thoughtful and thorough assessments.
- Delivering engaging, subject‑specific training to help colleagues thrive.
- Managing EHCPs and contributing to meaningful, person‑centred annual reviews.
