Aspris Clay Hill School is recruiting for a Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join our Education team! We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Teaching Assistants, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their work and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personalised educational assistance to a specific pupil in need of additional support
  • Build a strong rapport with the pupil, understanding their individual needs
  • Implement strategies to enhance the pupil’s learning experience
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive environment

Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting in a classroom setting
  • Level 2 qualification or equivalent experience appropriate to the teaching and learning environment of learners and young adults
  • Willingness to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with the Disclosure & Barring Service and at least 2 references covering the last 3 years
