We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join our team, specialising in supporting pupils with ASC and other associated needs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating an inclusive learning environment, adapting curriculum content, and implementing individualized strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students.
Purpose of the Role
- To deliver high‑quality teaching and learning in Mathematics across the school, and to contribute to the wider curriculum where appropriate (e.g. Computing or other subjects).
- The role also includes form tutor responsibilities, supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of a tutor group.
- The role involves working with students with Special Educational Needs, including high‑functioning autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Teaching and Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons across Key Stages
- Support delivery of additional subject areas (e.g. Computing) where appropriate
- Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of learners, including students with SEN
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing regular feedback
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning in line with school policy
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities
Tutor Responsibilities
- Act as a form tutor, taking responsibility for a tutor group
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and wellbeing of students
- Deliver tutor time activities, including PSHE and personal development
- Build positive relationships with students, supporting their personal and academic progress
- Liaise with families regarding student progress, attendance, and wellbeing
Pastoral and Safeguarding Responsibilities
- Support students’ social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures
- Work closely with the safeguarding and pastoral teams
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Mathematics
- Ability or willingness to teach an additional subject (e.g. Computing)
