Maths Teacher in Shrivenham

We are recruiting for a qualified Maths Teacher to join us at Aspris Ridgeway School, our specialist autism school for pupils aged 7-16. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing school and play a key role in shaping provision for autistic pupils.

The purpose of the role is to deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Mathematics across the school (primarily in Key Stage 3 and 4) and, where appropriate, contribute to the wider curriculum through the delivery of subjects such as Science, Computing or PE. We welcome applications from candidates seeking either full-time or part-time hours.

Main responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages.
• Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of pupils, including autistic pupils and those with additional special educational needs.
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching accordingly.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and learning in line with school procedures.
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities.
• Support the delivery of additional curriculum areas, including, but not limited to, Science, Computing or PE, where appropriate.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals to support positive outcomes for pupils.

You will:

• Hold UK QTS.
• Have significant classroom experience up to KS4.
• Have strong knowledge of the curriculum and high expectations for all pupils.
• Have an understanding of adaptive and inclusive teaching approaches.
• Be willing to participate in ongoing professional development.
• Have a passion for education and inspiring young people.
• Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
• Have experience, or an interest in supporting the delivery of Science, Computing or PE.
