Strathmore College is recruiting for an Occupational Therapist with Sensory Integration to join our Therapy team now! We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and passionate people to become an integral part of our therapy team. The successful candidate will join our multi-disciplinary team, which may suit someone experienced in a special needs environment or newly qualified, who will be required to work closely with other Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals providing support to students; reporting to the Therapy Manager.

About The College:

Strathmore College is an SEN college for students aged 19 to 25. What makes us different is that each of our learners work on a completely individual programme which is specifically structured to support them into employment and to gain an increased level of independence as they prepare for adulthood. Good links with employers enables learners to develop skills in the workplace to support their transition. The Strathmore College building itself acts as a central hub from which a vast range of community-based learning takes place. Community-based learning is central to our ethos, with learners engaging in a lot of practical, hands-on activities and work-based learning.

The Successful Candidate Will Be:

  • Registered and will hold BSc Occupational Therapy or profession specific equivalent qualification
  • Resilient: We support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.
  • Communicative: Communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
  • Committed: Will join a supportive and experienced team of dedicated support staff, committed to delivering the very best care.
