Join Our Governance and Risk Team – Make a Real Impact in Specialist Care! We’re thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Governance and Risk team at Aspris, supporting the delivery of high-quality care through our Children’s Homes and Residential Special Schools. This remote-based role, with weekly travel, reporting directly into the Head of Quality for Care, you will play a pivotal part in driving excellence across our services.

As a Quality Improvement Lead, you will:

  • Deliver coaching and training as necessary in relation to developing and improving quality and practice.
  • Provide credible and visible quality improvement leadership, support and advice to services.
  • Monitor the young persons experience across services, review themes, and support the changes to practice and policy in response to this.
  • Work with services to review their service improvement plans, and quality performance indicators and assist in having an agreed set of objectives with SMART measures.
  • Ensure these plans are reviewed, escalating concerns where improvement isn’t occurring in a timely way.
  • Provide external scrutiny and support to sites within agreed frameworks.
  • Lead investigations and reviews, including serious incidents, thematic reviews, whistleblowing and providing reports within the given timescales and in accordance with policies.
  • Provide analysis, thematic review and internal benchmarking in collaboration with colleagues and networks.

We are looking for:

  • Educated to Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services (England) (Children and Young People’s Management) or equivalent.
  • Trained to Level 3 safeguarding.
  • IT literate and able to work with Microsoft programmes, and IT systems to collate and use data to support clinical practice and outcomes.
  • Full operational understanding of the standards pertaining to regulation, including Ofsted, DFE, ESTYN, CIW, CIS.
  • To understand the measures of service effectiveness including standards, related evidence, assessment and outcome measurement; young person and family feedback.
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and complete work within agreed or promised timescales.
  • Acts as a role model, showing commitment, belief and aspiration for the services.
  • Looks for opportunities to develop self and others.
  • Extensive experience of managing and leading ‘good’ social care and/or Education services.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing change.
  • Quality improvement processes, and site turnaround.
  • Clear understanding of the legislation and regulatory matters that encompass social care for children and young people.
  • Experience of discussing issues with, and presenting findings to, senior management teams.
  • Strong report writing skills with the ability to present information and recommendations in a clear and logical way.
  • Evidence of having implemented practices which have resulted in positive outcomes for children and young people with complex needs who are looked after.

This role is remote based working and there is an expectation to visit services at least 3 days per week – with UK wide travel essential.
