Woodview school are looking to recruit a Family Liaison Coordinator to join our team for a September start! We are looking for a dedicated, well-organized professional with a passion for parental engagement, student transitions and inclusion.

The Family Support Coordinator plays a vital role in building positive relationships with parents and caregivers, ensuring open communication and collaboration to support students’ learning and well-being. The postholder will also take on the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), ensuring that all transitions align with safeguarding policies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Family Support Leadership – act as the key point of contact for parents and caregivers, supporting them through their child’s transition and school journey, facilitating open communication and fostering a whole-family approach to addressing complex needs.
  • Student Transition Support – develop and implement student transition plans for new admissions, internal transitions and external transitions.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Be D/DSL trained or have a willingness to complete training.
  • Have a strong understanding of parental engagement strategies, transition planning, and inclusion.
  • Have experience working in an educational setting, preferably with SEN students and families.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with families, students, and staff.
