Woodview School is looking to recruit a Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our Senior Leadership Team for a September 2026 start. The successful candidate will support children and young people and safeguard their welfare.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
- Coordinating support for pupils with SEN.
- Fostering a safe environment.
- Managing challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties of vulnerable children.
- Liaising with young people, staff and external agencies.
- Planning and delivering safeguarding training, monitoring student needs.
- Providing compassionate support to young people.
- Responding to varied tasks and needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience of safeguarding and supporting young people, especially within SEN.
- Demonstrated resilience, communication, organisation, caring, and attentiveness.
- Willingness to undergo safeguarding screening, DBS check and provide references covering the last 3 years.
