Woodview School is looking to recruit a Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our Senior Leadership Team for a September 2026 start. The successful candidate will support children and young people and safeguard their welfare.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed.
  • Coordinating support for pupils with SEN.
  • Fostering a safe environment.
  • Managing challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties of vulnerable children.
  • Liaising with young people, staff and external agencies.
  • Planning and delivering safeguarding training, monitoring student needs.
  • Providing compassionate support to young people.
  • Responding to varied tasks and needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience of safeguarding and supporting young people, especially within SEN.
  • Demonstrated resilience, communication, organisation, caring, and attentiveness.
  • Willingness to undergo safeguarding screening, DBS check and provide references covering the last 3 years.
