Aspris Education and Children’s Services is a leading company in the UK offering independent behavioural care for commissioners across the UK. With over 100 high quality schools, colleges and homes, we focus on making a real and lasting difference for everyone we support. Roehampton Gate School are recruiting for a Housekeeper / cleaner to join our support team on a fixed term basis until July 2026. We are looking for passionate people to make sure our sites are safe and comfortable, whilst covering all aspects of housekeeping.

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the homes and will have a flexible approach and be able to respond quickly to requests for assistance. This position is 20 hours per week during term time. Shifts can be completed between 3:30-7:30pm, but we are willing to be flexible for the right candidate.

Roehampton Gate School (RGS) is a school for young people aged 9-19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. Located in Roehampton, SW London, we aim to deliver the highest level of education and care according to individual needs in a safe, positive and structured environment.

Main duties:

  • Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the school, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
  • Ensures that Aspris minimum standards are delivered in all home areas in a timely and efficient manner, as part of a team.
  • Identifies and reports damage, faults and other related issues to the maintenance department or home manager to ensure that environmental conditions continue to meet quality standards and statutory regulations.
  • Adopt new services that are already introduced within the group.
  • Use equipment efficiently, in order to gain a greater value for money.

The successful candidate will have experience of daily cleaning schedules and ensure appropriate paperwork is completed in a timely manner and a good knowledge of health and safety legislation that is applicable to the role.
