Children's Home Weeley are recruiting for Senior Residential Support Workers now! We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our support team. In this role, you will support our young people and be responsible for providing compassionate care during your time with them. This role also involves supporting the Registered Manager to run a successful staff team and to oversee the day to day operation of the home.

We are a 5 bedded home for Children who have EBD (emotional and/or behavioural difficulties). As part of the Aspris Children’s Service, our service is registered to accommodate 5 young people aged between the ages of 8 and 18 years old, this includes of any gender or non-binary. We offer young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties a supportive and nurturing environment. Due to the nature of this role, a full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Level 3 Qualification In Children’s Residential And Childcare Is Essential
  • Previous experience within a residential childcare setting

  • Resilience – we support some of the most vulnerable children in society who have varying degrees of emotional behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD and associated difficulties so there will be times where your resilience is challenged.
  • Communication – communicating with our young people is vital to understand their needs. Good teamwork and communication plays a key part in ensuring important information is relayed to other staff.
  • Organisation – as well as supervising the staff team, you’ll need to be confident and organised in updating care plans and reporting information that will be relevant to the care of our young people.
