As Payroll Administrator you will be responsible for processing the weekly and monthly payroll for a large number of Aspris colleagues. Working with our Service locations, you will play an integral role in ensuring our colleagues are paid on time all the time.
This will be a 13 month maternity cover contract with a view to start on 1st December 2026.
What will you be doing?
- Ensure that all colleague related data is correctly entered into appropriate systems, and that all necessary amendments have been completed prior to the payroll cut-off date
- Responsible for the accurate inputting of data, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time
- Ensure the integrity, probity and reasonableness of local financial controls in respect of the payroll, in order to minimise financial risk via the correct implementation of local procedures and policies
- Answer colleague queries in respect of payroll, referring any complex issues to the appropriate level / manager.
- Assist sites and third parties with enquiries and sometimes demanding and difficult situations which will require demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills
- Ensure all documentation is correctly filed, in order that financial auditors can be satisfied in their audit, via the efficient recovery of key documents of initial entry
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of documentation at the end of the processing month
What do we need from you?
- Experience working within a volume-based environment is desirable
- Previous experience within a Payroll Administration, HR Shared Service or Customer Service
- A working knowledge of payroll legislation is desirable
- Previous experience with iTrent or any similar HR Management System or Payroll Software is preferable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised individual with meticulous attention to detail, methodical and thorough approach to work
- Understands the importance of teamwork and actively focuses on being an effective team player
- A self‑starter who can work in a guided environment but also able to work equally well under their own supervision
