Aspris College Wales are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join our education team. We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Learning Support Assistants, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will assist the young adults with their work and support pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting young people.
- NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) relevant to teaching and learning environments for learners and young adults.
- Willingness to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with Disclosure & Barring Service and at least 2 references covering the last 3 years from places where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults. References may be requested prior to interview for roles within our Schools.

Aspris College South Wales is an independent, specialist co‑educational college for young adults aged 16 to 25 with Asperger’s syndrome, autistic spectrum disorders and associated conditions, based in Torfaen. The college was set up in partnership with Coleg Gwent, the largest further education college in Wales, to meet the academic, social and emotional needs of our young people.
