Position Overview

Senior Residential Support Worker at Children’s Home Mildenhall.

The role involves supporting young people, providing compassionate care, and working closely with the Registered Manager to run a successful staff team and oversee the day‑to‑day operation of the home.

Responsibilities

  • Support young people and provide compassionate care during their time with the home.
  • Assist the Registered Manager in running a successful staff team.
  • Oversee the daily operation of the home.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential and Childcare.
  • Previous experience within a residential childcare setting.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Resilience, communication, organisation, caring and attentiveness.

Mildenhall and Lakenheath, Forest Heath District, a 5‑beded home for males and females aged 8‑18 with emotional, behavioural difficulties and related complex needs.

Other Requirements

All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including DBS checks and at least two references covering the last three years.

References may be requested prior to interview for roles within our schools.

Compensation

Salary calculated at £15.45‑£15.60 per hour, plus an average of six sleep ins per month at £55 per sleep in.
