About the Role
As Group IT Director, you will set the technology vision and strategy for Aspria, balancing commercial objectives, security standards, and operational efficiency. You will partner with the executive team to deliver cutting-edge solutions that support our ambition of being a premier luxury club, combining fitness, hospitality, and a community space that feels like a second home.
Leading a diverse technology team responsible for infrastructure, applications, and innovation, you will foster a culture of continuous learning and accountability while modernizing IT standards and roadmaps to support growth and reliability.
You will report directly to the CEO Designate and work closely with the senior leadership team as a trusted advisor. You\’ll guide infrastructure, applications, innovation, and data strategies, leading a hungry and talented team eager to grow under expert technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a multi-year technology vision and strategy aligned with Aspria\’s member experience aspirations and operational goals.
- Communicate effectively with varied audiences, from leadership to technical teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a trusted advisor within the executive team, collaborating across departments to ensure technology solutions meet evolving needs.
- Lead and mentor the tech team, promoting proactive processes, maturity in operations, and professional growth.
- Champion customer-centric technology innovations that reduce operational friction and elevate member experiences.
- Build and maintain strong networks across the fitness technology landscape to identify trends and potential partnerships.
- Manage significant opex and capex budgets across multiple sites; deliver projects within budget and on time.
- Represent Aspria in vendor negotiations, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals, security standards, and operational requirements.
- Build a proactive, risk-aware culture of security and data protection, leading response during incidents and educating the organization on best practices.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive company data strategy, leveraging AI, data integration, and analytics to drive business growth and efficiency.
- Design technology standards and scalable architecture to support business growth through expansion, construction, and acquisitions.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in an IT Director role with a track record in defining and delivering large-scale IT transformations with measurable impact.
- Deep technical expertise coupled with experience in software development, APIs, and data warehousing.
- Strategic financial management experience overseeing IT budgets across multiple sites.
- Exceptional communication skills: ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple regions and cultures from executives to technical and operations teams. Fluency in English; other languages is a plus.
- Strong leadership with a servant leadership mindset, coaching and developing a motivated team.
- Multi-national experience: prior experience working in a global or multi-region organization is advantageous. Occasional travel required.
