Asprey London Limited are seeking an exceptional Retail Director to lead overall performance of our London retail stores (Bruton Street and Peninsula Hotel), ensuring the highest standards of customer service, brand representation and operational excellence. The role involves managing retail operations, leading store teams, and driving consistent, profitable growth through a shift to reliable daily trading. The Retail Director will personally cultivate a 20-50 client VIP book while building a high-performing, engaged retail team aligned to Asprey's luxury heritage and commercial ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a multi-year commercial strategy for both London locations, driving a shift from deal-dependent trades to consistent daily trading, profitability, and world‑class customer experience.
  • Delivering ambitious revenue targets, optimising margins, and cultivating relationships with top UHNW and VICs through exceptional clienteling and high‑value private selling.
  • Championing the luxury customer journey, ensuring flawless service standards, seamless omnichannel experiences, and impeccable brand presentation across all touchpoints.
  • Inspiring and developing high‑performing teams, nurturing talent, promoting craftsmanship knowledge, and fostering a culture rooted in excellence, emotional intelligence, and brand heritage.
  • Collaborating with senior colleagues to oversee operational excellence, including stock, visual merchandising, compliance, security, and store standards befitting a heritage luxury brand.
  • Owning full P&L accountability, driving accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance across both London stores.
  • Acting as a senior brand ambassador, building influential partnerships, representing the brand at key luxury and cultural events, and strengthening relationships with VIPs and UHNW networks.

  • International luxury exposure advantageous
  • Proven track record in sales generation and managing achievement of sales results
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new opportunities and maintain long-term client
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams in a collaborative manner
