We’re looking to appoint a small number of Advisory Board Members to support the leadership team at Aspo as we grow and become more involved within the skills, employability, and early-careers landscape. This is a light-touch, non-executive advisory role, intended for people who enjoy offering perspective, judgement, and challenge to early-stage teams, rather than operating day to day. We’re deliberately building an advisory board with complementary perspectives, and are particularly interested in individuals with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Education & Skills Policy
  • AI Ethics & Responsible Technology
  • Social Mobility & Inclusion

You do not need experience across all areas — we are looking to appoint multiple advisors with distinct but complementary backgrounds.

What the role involves:

  • Acting as a sounding board on strategic decisions relevant to your area of expertise
  • Offering independent judgement and context, particularly where assumptions should be challenged
  • Helping identify risks, blind spots, or unintended consequences early
  • Providing perspective rather than operational execution

Time commitment:

This is a periodic advisory role, with occasional meetings and informal check-ins. There is no expectation of ongoing operational involvement.

Structure:

This is a non-executive, non-fiduciary advisory role and is not a salaried position. All decision-making remains with the executive leadership team.
