One of Exeter\’s top law firms are looking to hire a junior Legal PA into their Private Wealth team. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and driven person, who is ready to take their career to the next level. We are looking for someone who is dynamic, highly organised, has excellent communication skills and a good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. You will be working for one of the most prestigious firms in Exeter, with a modern office environment with a professional and friendly culture. The role will include liaising with clients and others on behalf of the fee earners, while also acting as a gatekeeper for the team. The role will also include responsibility for managing diaries, setting up and attending meetings, arranging travel and coordinating complex bills on a monthly basis, while also chasing up unpaid bills as required.

Tasks include:

  • Diary management
  • Booking meetings
  • Travel arrangements
  • Arranging photocopying, printing, scanning and sending of letters
  • Arranging for files to be opened and closed
  • Supporting the lawyers with marketing activities, including preparation of pitches and presentations
  • General communication and correspondence, including via telephone, emails, post and letters
  • Arranging absence cover where necessary
  • General document production
  • Typing of correspondence
  • Producing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
  • Assisting fee-earners with time recording
  • Other ad-hoc duties

Skills and experience required:

  • 1-2 years\’ experience within an administrative role, ideally within the legal sector
  • An efficient and highly organised approach
  • Good typing speeds
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
