We at Aspiria Legal are excited to be hiring for a new recruitment consultant to join our team and launch our recruitment offering in a new geographical location, although still working here in Exeter with us. Up to now, we have been focused on recruiting into Exeter, Plymouth and Bristol, but we now look to expand our reach!

We’re looking for someone with a special personality, who loves helping people and doing the right thing by their clients and candidates, in offering the very highest levels of service. We are looking for someone highly credible, with a positive, upbeat and energetic personality, who can build long-term relationships with clients and candidates, and build a reputation for being the “go to” recruiter within our sector, for their location.

We have a model that works, which we can train and develop. The job can be fun and rewarding, although we need someone resilient, who can also deal with the setbacks that invariably come with the job. We are open to people from different career backgrounds, although any exposure to professional services, in particular the legal sector, would have a great advantage.

Based out of our Exeter office on Marsh Barton, we offer hybrid working, generally working 2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days from home. We are a small team of two people, so this would be working with a close-knit environment, but with lots of flexibility, trust, autonomy and also support. We offer a solid basic salary, as well as an exciting commission scheme, to allow people to earn an exciting overall package. However, we also work “smart”, allowing for lots of flexibility. We occasionally take calls outside of work time, but in return, you receive a lot of trust and autonomy… and you won’t be micro-managed, so we are after someone with inner drive, who can motivate themselves.

We have three values within the business, which are being “Honest, Supportive and Giving”, aiming to give more value to people than they typically expect, leaving a great impression on everyone we come into contact with. We need someone who can live these values and really believe in the approach of the business.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Working with a range of law firms to support their recruitment.
  • Writing effective job advertisements, to share on our website, job boards and LinkedIn.
  • Building a network of lawyers/candidates.
  • Reaching out to prospective candidates about career opportunities, using LinkedIn messages and InMails, as well as other methods.
  • Being proactive for candidates, approaching law firms and organisations they could potentially work for, to generate interest.
  • Supporting candidates through interview processes, offering advice, support and guidance, and ultimately offering them the best chances of securing a role with our clients.
  • Helping candidates write CVs and putting together “candidate profile summaries” to share with our clients.
  • Updating and upkeeping our database.
  • Promoting Aspiria Legal on social media and with networking.
  • Writing social media content, including blogs, posts and job adverts to share.

Skills and experience sought:

  • Someone highly credible, extremely likeable and with a good sense of humour.
  • Some previous experience or exposure to the legal sector or professional services would be an advantage.
  • Excellent writing skills and English grammar and punctuation.
  • An excellent communicator, with the ability to talk to senior partners within law firms, but who can adapt and speak to people at all levels.
  • A positive energy, and the drive to motivate themselves.

Hours and Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday (09:00 – 17:00), generally with 2-3 days in the office in Exeter, and the rest from home.
  • 25 days annual leave, plus Christmas and NY period “off work” (although need to be available to support candidates and clients ad hoc over Christmas and NY).
  • A flexible and trusted work-life.
  • Laptop provided.
