One of the region's growing and successful law firms is looking to hire a Legal Administrator into their Sidmouth office, to support with the office administration, but also to support with some of the legal work, with the role increasing in responsibility as time goes by. The role will focus heavily on supporting the Property teams, but will also provide adhoc support to the existing person who runs the Reception for the office. This role would ideally suit someone with some previous administration experience, with there being an advantage if you already have legal experience or at least an interest in law. There may be scope to continue learning and follow a career pathway within the legal sector, so this interest in law will be a great advantage.
Responsibilities to include:
- Providing administrative support for the property teams based in Sidmouth
- File opening and closing and ongoing file management
- Provide cover on reception or generally assist with reception related tasks
- Postal related duties at the beginning and end of each day
- Scanning all incoming post for each department
- Banking and petty cash
- Purchase of office supplies
- Deal with card payments/ID from callers to the office
- Answering of the office phones
- General admin related duties to ensure the smooth running of the office
Experience sought:
- Previous administration experience
- Experience in law or at least an interest, would be a great advantage
- A professional and credible approach
- An enthusiastic and supportive person
- Good computer skills
Hours and Benefits:
- Monday to Friday (09:00 - 17:30 or similar)
- 25 days holiday plus birthday off and Christmas Eve off
- Pension
- Discounted legal services (Wills and Conveyancing) after a certain length of employment
