Reporting to the Fire Technician, you will support The Garrisons by liaising with teams and contractors regarding fire‑related works, ensuring compliance and contributing to the safe management of the estate.

Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental policies and safe working practices across the estate.
- Interpret fire strategies and technical drawings to assess fire doors, fire stopping, dampers and compartments.
- Liaise with The Garrisons teams and contractors to monitor and report on fire‑related works and maintenance quality.
- Inspect fire doors beyond economic repair, recommend repair or replacement and record findings with photographs and funding requirements.
- Support reporting, audits and evidence packs relating to fire safety compliance and inspections.
- Carry out additional duties as reasonably required by the Fire and Special Projects Manager.
Qualifications
- Reasonable standard of English and Maths (GCSE grade 4/C or equivalent).
- Ability to complete written reports, audits and evidence packs.
- Full UK driving licence.
Experience & Knowledge
- Fire management awareness within a facilities management environment.
- Experience interpreting building technical drawings and reports.
- Familiarity with working in a Ministry of Defence or military environment.
- Competent use of Microsoft Office applications.
Skills
- Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others while maintaining a customer‑focused approach.
Desirable
- A B&C/E trade related qualification.
- Competent use of company management information systems such as IFS.
- Membership of an appropriate professional institution.
- A valid CSCS card.
