Your Role:

  • To undertake New, Reactive or PPM carpentry works as part of a highly skilled maintenance function within the Garrison.
  • Modify and re-construct timber structures as required by associated artisan tradesmen.
  • Preparation and subsequent installation of doors and frames from blanks as may arise day-to-day.
  • Ensure acceptable standards of productivity and workmanship are maintained in the execution of work.
  • Accurate recording of all maintenance works when completed are posted through the appropriate, equipment, systems and documentation as required by the Company Management System.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in City and Guilds. A IOSH Working Safely certificate would be beneficial.
  • Experience: Proven high-standard carpentry experience with ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality, timely results. Understanding of team trades, safe working systems, and other disciplines within multi-task delivery services essential.
  • Skills: Competent person with RAMS and Safe Systems understanding. Ability to work from drawings, requisition materials, complete jobs, and supervise operatives. Customer-focused with proactive, flexible teamwork approach. Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and self-discipline essential.
  • Driving Licence: Full UK valid driving licence required.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain MoD security clearance.
