Customer Service Administrator Location: Wigan Pay: £13.10 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm Great with customers and thrive in a fast-paced environment? We’re recruiting a Customer Service Administrator to support our client’s office team, manage customer enquiries and help keep orders and communication running smoothly. Many customers are having their homes renovated, which can be a stressful time. You’ll need to listen carefully, show understanding and remain calm and professional when dealing with concerns, changes or frustrations. The role - Monitor shared sales and information inboxes, organise emails and respond promptly to enquiries. - Handle enquiries about quotes, orders, amendments and complaints. - Answer incoming calls, direct customers to the right person and accurately record messages and contact details. - Provide clear, reassuring updates, working closely with processing and technical teams. - Handle difficult conversations with patience, empathy and a practical approach to resolving issues. - Arrange sample boxes, track their progress and follow up with customers. - Learn about products, customer requirements and order processes, progressing to support order processing. - Respond to changing customer requirements and maintain accurate records. About you - Strong communication skills and a helpful, professional telephone manner. - Resilience and the ability to remain composed during challenging conversations. - Empathy and an understanding of the stress customers may experience during home renovations. - Confidence working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities. - Good organisation and attention to detail. - Confidence using email and everyday office systems. - Willingness to learn about products and processes. - Previous customer service or administration experience would be beneficial.
