General Operative Sanding Department
Location: Northampton, NN4
Pay Rate: Β£12.75 per hour
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am5:00pm; Friday, 7:30am2:00pm
Aspired Talent is recruiting for a General Operative to join the sanding department of a luxury wooden drawer manufacturer in Northampton.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on role involving the sanding and preparation of wooden components. The work can be physically demanding, repetitive and labour-intensive, so applicants must have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to remain focused throughout the shift.
Key Responsibilities
Sanding wooden drawers and components to a high-quality finish
Preparing products for the next stage of manufacturing
Inspecting surfaces and identifying imperfections
Working efficiently to achieve production targets
Handling products safely and carefully
Maintaining a clean and organised workstation
Following all health and safety and quality procedures
Supporting other areas of production when required
Candidate Requirements
Previous sanding, woodworking or manufacturing experience is beneficial but not essential
A reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
Comfortable undertaking repetitive and physically demanding work
Able to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Good attendance and punctuality
Flexibility around working hours is essential
Please note that the current working hours may change to either an early shift of 6:00am3:00pm or a late shift of 2:30pm10:30pm. Applicants must be able to accommodate potential shift changes. xiskglj
